Aomori Gyosai Center "Nokkedon"

The ultimate self-indulgent rice bowl dish, where you can choose as many of your favorite ingredients as you like and add them as toppings.
This is a famous product of Aomori sold at Furukawa Market, known as the kitchen of Aomori.
There are two types of food vouchers available: ¥2,200 and ¥190.

When it comes to ramen in Aomori, it has to be niboshi (dried fish broth) ramen.

Facing the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean, Aomori Prefecture is an area with a thriving fishing industry.
Dried and roasted sardines have long been treasured as preserved foods for the harsh winter, and are used in miso soup and other boiled dishes.
Because high-quality sardines caught in Mutsu Bay are available at low prices, there are many ramen shops serving noodles in broth made from dried and roasted sardines, which suit the tastes of the people of Tsugaru. Kudo Ramen in Furukawa has been in business now for over 60 years.

Gained nationwide fame in recent years! Miso curry milk ramen

The soup base is Sapporo miso ramen. Miso Curry Milk Ramen is, as the name suggests, ramen made with a miso soup base, curry powder, and milk, rounded off with the obligatory butter topping.
The unique blend of rich miso, spicy curry, creamy milk, and buttery flavor creates the perfect balance.
For over 30 years, this has been the soul food of Aomori, much loved by its citizens.
Also sold in instant cup noodles form at supermarkets, train stations, and convenience stores in the city.

The best apple pie you'll encounter in Aomori - the city of apples

Aomori Prefecture boasts the largest apple production volume in Japan and is known for its sweet and juicy apples.
A wide assortment of apple sweet treats have been made in Aomori for many years. In particular, apple pies, packed full of delicious fruit, are an essential item at cafes and confectionery stores in Aomori. One of the most appealing features is that each store offers its own unique version, with differing pie crust textures and balance of sweetness and acidity in the filling.
Follow the aroma of freshly baked pies as you enjoy a tour of Aomori's signature apple pies.

Nebuta Museum WA-RASSE

Every summer, large Nebuta floats that participated in the Aomori Nebuta Festival are displayed in rotation.
In addition to learning about the history and production process, you can also watch videos of the Nebuta Festival parade.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there are live performances of Nebuta music and Haneto dance experiences, while on weekdays, festival experiences are held.

Vidro-making experience

Traditional handmade glass crafts called “Tsugaru Vidro.”
In Aomori, you can freely join hands-on workshops and classes to experience making glass bead nets and other original handmade goods and accessories using traditional techniques.

Canoeing, kayaking, and rambling at Lake Towadako

Set off in a canoe and explore the great outdoors surrounding Lake Towadako. You will be accompanied by a guide, so even beginners can enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
If rambling is more your thing, you can take a leisurely stroll and observe the natural surroundings at your own pace.

Skiing, snowboarding, and trekking around Hakkoda Mountain

You can enjoy skiing and snowboarding at the Hakkoda Ski Area on Mount Hakkoda.
Make the most of the high-quality powder snow during the harsh winter season. Trekking plans are also offered in summer.
The highlight is the view of the autumn grasses turning red from the stairs of Kamikenashitai looking down on Shimokenashitai, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.

Asamushi Hot Springs, Footbaths and Fishing Experience

The natural and charming hot spring town of Asamushi Onsen has two footbaths: one in the plaza in front of Asamushi Onsen Station on the Aoimori Railway, and the other in Asamushi Gensen Park.
You can also enjoy fishing at Asamushi Umizuri Park. Located 110 meters off the tourist port, the park is rich in fish species such as fat greenling, flounder, black rockfish, rockfish, black sea bream, stripedsea bream, and yellowtail.

Aomori Prefectural Center for Industry and Tourism, ASPAM

It offers a wide selection of souvenirs and crafts from all over Aomori Prefecture.
There are frequent events introducing the prefecture, making it a popular spot.
There is also an observation deck offering a panoramic view of Mutsu Bay.

A-FACTORY

It produces and sells Aomori Cider using apples grown in Aomori Prefecture.
Visitors can observe the cider brewing process through glass windows, and there is also a tasting area upstairs.
It has become a new tourist attraction along the waterfront.

Sannai Maruyama Special Historic Site

Japan's largest Jomon settlement site.
Excavation surveys are cementing our understanding of the natural environment, lifestyle, and village conditions of that time.
The site is open to the public all year round and can be visited freely.

Seikan Ferry Memorial Ship "Hakkoda-Maru"

The last ship of the Seikan Ferry service that was discontinued in 1988, the Hakkoda-Maru is moored in Aomori Port in its original state, and the inside of the ship is open to visitors.

Uto Shrine

A shrine located in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture.
It is dedicated to the three goddesses of the sea and safe navigation, known as the Three Goddesses of Munakata: Ichikishima Hime-no-Kami, Tagitsu Hime-no-Kami, and Tagori Hime-no-Kami.
